Third grade is the adventure of a lifetime!  You are officially in the elementary hallway and you are now one of the "big kids".

Allow me to introduce myself and tell you a little about me.  My name is Shelly Heiser and I have taught for thirteen years.  I have taught seventh, eighth, fifth, and third grade.  I went to college at West Virginia University (go Mountaineers!), where I majored in Elementary Education and minored in Spanish.  Last year I moved from fifth to third grade and loved it!  I have decided to teach third again --YEH!  I have two amazing sons, Nathaniel, who is twenty-three, and Jacob, who is twenty-two.  Jacob lives in Ft. Collins and Nate is in Austin, TX.  My lovely sister, Cathy lives here in Denver, so we get to spend quite a bit of time together. My wonderful father died from cancer a few years ago, but my beautiful mother, Judy remarried last year to a great man by the name of Richard. They live in Del Rio, Texas and are very happy. I am also from the wonderful state of Texas, and I LOVE the Dallas Cowboys!!  I have lived in Colorado for many years and I believe it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I can't imagine living in any other state!
